I had a busy, busy first month of the year. I started things off by housesitting while my parents were away for a couple weeks. Then I went back to New York for work and to hang out with friends. Sometimes I feel like I appreciate the city so much more after being away a while. I officially started on my new team at work and things are extremely busy and stressful right now. Part of it is just adjusting to the team and how it operates, but it’s mostly just the nature of the work. I read Katabasis, which now is possibly one of my top 10 favorite books. And I planned and booked my first trip of the year — Morocco in a couple weeks. I’m already thinking about more trips and even though it looks like work’s going to be demanding, I’m really excited for the rest of 2026.
